Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, deems necessary to take decisive steps to improve economic situation in the country.

 

At the Saturday´s conference in Luhansk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed his opinion concerning overcoming of the crisis in the country.

 

V.Lytvyn considers the economic situation to be very complicated and believes that not only effective authorities, but also "those, who were at power yesterday" are to blame for the present-day recession.

 

First and foremost, V.Lytvyn deems necessary "to make inventory of everything left in the country and put it in order". He calls for the improvement of relations between the State and the private sector, especially with the big national business.

 

V.Lytvyn also deems important "to regulate the land issue". 

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called for enhancement of responsibility of the authorities and objected against the quota principle of its formation.  

 

Dwelling upon the foreign policy, V.Lytvyn called for "immediate improvement" of relations with Russia.

 

V.Lytvyn also considers separation of law enforcement, military and policing branch and politics to be a crucial issue. "Military and policing branch is a combat detachment of political leaders", - stated V.Lytvyn.

 

"Separation of military and policing branch from politics will secure safe life of our children", - he summarized. 

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called for implementation of a reasonable personnel policy. Answering the questions of the journalists, V.Lytvyn also declared that Ukraine should and would be a unitary State.
